The tree house kids are taken aback when they stumble upon a secret safe in the home of Ephraim, Maya's grandfather, who has relocated to assisted living. However, the safe doesn't house money or valuable jewelry. To the children's surprise, it contains mysterious objects connected to Grandfather Ephraim's childhood in Persia.
When these items are stolen, Maya rallies her friends to recover them for the family. Along the way, the gang must not only outsmart the cunning thief but also confront an internal crisis that jeopardizes their unity.
